December the 31st 2018

The protest walks of the group “Justice for David” continued without Davor Dragičević, while the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Srpska issued arrest warrants for the activists.

Suzana Radanović, the mother of the murdered David Dragičević, announced that she would be in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Banja Luka at 6:00 p.m. “At 6 pm, I lit a candle for my son in the temple of Christ the Savior,” wrote Suzana Radanović, the mother of the murdered David Dragičević, briefly at the time.

The Ministry of the Interior, in cooperation with the Center Banja Luka Police Department, has made enormous efforts to disperse activists, abuse, persecute and discriminate.

Due to frequent disturbances of public order and peace, committing criminal acts, preventing normal traffic and disrespecting the Law on Public Assemblies of the Republic of Srpska, all future public gatherings of the group “Justice for David” were prevented and interrupted in accordance with the Law on Public Assemblies of the Republic of Srpska. Participants in such a public gathering will be sanctioned in accordance with the law – the Banja Luka Police Administration warned at the time.

Due to these events city services canceled the previously announced New Year’s concerts in Banja Luka. The City Administration blamed human rights activists “Justice for David” for destroying the New Year’s celebration.

At the same time, the Banja Luka police confirmed that, after the events of December the 30th 2018 in Banja Luka, five people are wanted, on suspicion of having committed criminal acts and misdemeanors.
