SRDJAN PUHALO: David against Goliath or why I will vote for the Justice Movement

This year, in the local elections, I will vote for the Justice Movement, which was created by the transformation of the Justice for David movement.

Why will I vote for them?

I want to reward the hard work and perseverance of these people because they have been fighting for years for something that we gave up and forgot about a long time ago. I will vote for people who are ready to be judged for what they believe in. I want to vote for people who have been systematically harassed by the Republic of Srpska police for years. I want to vote for the people who, through their struggle, showed us what kind of government is in the Republic of Srpska and how (un) free we are. I want to vote for people who regularly lose battles, but are all winners.

I will vote for them because I know them from the street, and not from videos, posters and billboards.

I don’t know their program, but it doesn’t matter to me now, because the programs are a bunch of good wishes, which are forgotten immediately after the election or until the first set tender.

Fuck the program, if you don’t have an attitude.

I will vote for them because their stand on David Dragičević Square is the worst. I will vote for them because they do not have billboards. I will vote for them because they did not give me a lighter, thermometer or disinfectant. I will vote for them because they did not start greeting me 30 days before the election. I will vote for them because they did not pollute and destroy Banja Luka with their posters.

I will vote for them because they did not intentionally spread the COVID-19 virus “spontaneously” by organizing party rallies and parties.

I will vote for them because they look like my aunt, uncle and neighbors and they did not allow Photoshop to rejuvenate and beautify them. I will vote for them because they appeared on Radio and television of the Republic of Srpska, and they did not betray themselves and their ideals. I will vote for them because the people on their list are Banja Luka, not Serbs, Croats and Bosnian.

I will vote for them because they are “foreign mercenaries”, “traitors”, “hooligans”, “criminals”, because I am sick of the “patriots” who are in power today.

I will vote for them because they did not forget the murder of Milan Vukelić.

I will vote for them because they are abandoned and forgotten by everyone. I will vote for them to make up for the many non-arrivals and protests. I will vote for them because they are outsiders, and I like to support outsiders.

Vote for them because they deserve it with their courage.
