We thought that the point was put on shameful misdemeanor warrants because of the shouts “Justice” and “Justice for David” in front of the Temple of Christ the Savior in May 2019. The Basic Court in Banja Luka acquitted all human rights activists Justice for David.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs appealed all those verdicts. The District Court (as the second instance body that decides on appeals) in turn rejected all their appeals and upheld the acquittals of the Basic Court.
For the first time, the District Court accepted the appeal of the Ministry of Interior, annulled the judgment of the Basic Court and returned the case for retrial. There are two lawsuits against our Rade Sljivić. In both cases, the District Court accepted the appeal of the Ministry of the Interior.
Judge Olga Pantic recognizes the characteristic violation of public order and peace in indecent behavior (shouting, shouting “Justice” and “Justice for David”) in a place provided for silent prayer. Rade Sljivic will be tried again on March 9th and 12th 2021.
