Two people, Zijad Mutap, Alisa Mutap’s father, and Hasan Dupovac, a KS MUP police officer, were arrested.
OHR High Representative in BiH Dr. Valentin Inzko received in his Office Mr. Memić and his lawyer Ifet Feraget, and accordingly, the High Representative, in his report to the UN Security Council, pointed out several times to UN Council members about the case and the killings of Dženan Memić and David Dragičević.
Portal Dnevno requested from OHR comment on the arrests in the “Dženan Memić” case, and we are transmitting the OHR’s position and reaction in full:
“This country is facing many problems and challenges. But the number one problem is in the area of justice and the rule of law, regardless of the status of the individual in society. No one should be above the law, everyone should be treated equally. Only in this way can society develop and prosper. The OHR welcomes the commitment of judicial institutions and law enforcement agencies to continue to resolve criminal cases, which is their duty to the citizens they serve. The investigation must be conducted with the utmost care, bearing in mind the fact that a lot of time has already passed. But in the end, justice must prevail. The application of the rule of law is at the heart of a functioning democracy. That is the basis of every modern state. ” – OHR spokeswoman Ljiljana Radetic stated for Dnevno.ba!
