Davor Dragicevic, the father of the tragically killed David Dragicevic, welcomed the action in which two people were arrested on the order of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH for obstructing the investigation into the death of Dzenan Memic. He points out that this is the first and big step forward in the investigation, and he hopes that the state prosecutor’s office will be involved in the case of the murder of David Dragicevic.
David Dragicevic disappeared on March 18, 2018. Six days later, his body was found at the mouth of the Crkvena River in Vrbas in Banja Luka. The original investigation claimed that the death was caused by drowning without elements of a crime. Three months after that, the Banja Luka District Prosecutor’s Office issued an order to conduct an investigation against N.N. persons for the murder of David Dragicevic. The investigation has not revealed the perpetrators so far.
The Banja Luka District Public Prosecutor’s Office points out that an investigation against NN is being conducted in accordance with the law. persons for the criminal offense of murder committed to the detriment of David Dragicevic.

The father of the victim David Dragičević, Davor, is not satisfied with the work of the Banja Luka Prosecutor’s Office. For two years now, he has been demanding that the Dragicevic case be taken over by the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.

The action of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH in the Memić case was also welcomed by the “Justice for David” Group from Banja Luka. They hope that this will not be just a show for the public as it has been so far.

The lawyer of the Dragicevic and Memic family, Ifet Feraget, told BHRT that the Bosnian society has become a hostage of several corrupt prosecutors, and that an investigation must be made to find out what was done in the attempts to cover up these two murders.

The death of David Dragicevic started several months of protest rallies called “Justice for David”, which were held for almost 9 months every day at 6 pm here on Banja Luka’s Krajina Square. The participants called this Square “David’s Square”, and the recognizable symbols of the gathering were the refrain of David’s song The Kid in the Ghetto and the highly raised compressed song. The rallies were held from the end of March to the end of December 2018, when the police removed all the features of the Justice for David group from the square.
