A person from Banja Luka arrested on suspicion of high-tech crime

Police officers of the Criminal Police Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republika Srpska (MUP RS) arrested a person A.B. from Banja Luka as part of an operational operation codenamed “KUPA”, for whom there are grounds to suspect that she committed several high-tech crimes in the previous period, reports Anadolu Agency (AA).

According to the RS Ministry of the Interior, the criminal offenses are “Unauthorized interception of computer data”, “Disclosure and unauthorized acquisition of business secrets” and “Extortion” from the Criminal Code of the Republic of Croatia, to the detriment of legal entities and others.

In these activities, and by order of the competent court, searches were conducted at three locations used by a person deprived of liberty, and on that occasion, the means of committing the crime were found and confiscated: a number of HARD disks, USB sticks, memory cards, SIM cards and other devices for storing digital data, as well as other items that may be related to the commission of a criminal offense “, according to the RS Ministry of the Interior.

They add that a report on the committed crimes will be submitted to the acting prosecutor’s office against this person.
